Overview

The Pony Express AC Tugger 25K+ Lithium is the highest capacity tugger in the Pony Express line. It tows loads up to 25,000 lb on casters and up to 100,000 lb on rails. This version replaces the standard AGM pack with a 48 V, 120 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery with a fast swap connector for multi shift work.

Power comes from a 48 V AC, 1.7 kW transaxle with AC Vector Power technology, which holds its torque across the full speed range. The operator controls speed from 0 to 1.5 mph in low and 0 to 3 mph in high, with regenerative braking and an electromagnetic holding brake for inclines. A charge supports up to 8 hours of operation and the external charger brings the pack back to full in about 90 minutes.

A charged spare pack drops in without downtime. The battery monitor pairs with a phone app over Bluetooth, so operators and managers see the state of charge, the amp hours used and the voltage, with light and sound alerts when it is time to recharge.
